Dad's Birthday

We celebrated Zach's Birthday this week. He is 28 years old!!!!! We went to visit Zach's parents at the beginning of the week and got to go the the Auburn vs. Alabama basketball game with Uncle Peyton. WAR EAGLE by the way!!!! We did not dare try to take Daley down to see Aubie this time. We did offer by asking her if she wanted to go see him up close and she replied with a prompt NO! She really likes him from afar, but no so much close up. When we got back in town we went to Konomi. It is a Japanese steak house and Sushi bar here in Trussville that Zach picked out. It was really great! They came out with drums and sang Happy Birthday and everyone was clapping. They took his picture with his fruit they brought him and gave him a hand painted pair of his own personal chopsticks. We also had some friends over Saturday night and we celebrated a little bit more. I think Sam had more fun than anyone else as he was attempting to shave with the blue icing from the cupcakes (see below). Overall I think Zach had an awesome Birthday Week!

Christmas in Dixie

I am a little late on blogging, as usual, but Christmas is finally posted nonetheless. We really had the best Christmas this year. I get a little frustrated around Christmas time (Zach will attest) as we are traveling all of the state of Alabama the week of, and this year we went to Nashville too! After it is all over though I always feel silly about getting so stressed out because we are so blessed to have such great Family and Friends.

We got to talk to "Uncle Pearson" via Skype on Christmas Day which was a really neato experience. (See pic below) We really missed him this Christmas and it was so great to see his face.

We also went to Nashville the day after Christmas for Daley to meet Andrew, Max and Jack. Those of you that attended our wedding, they were our sweet ring bearers. They live in Texas though, so Daley had not gotten to meet them yet. It was a really fun time. Mostly for her. I think the boys were a little irritated with her constantly getting in to their stuff.

Over all Christmas was really wonderful and I am glad the good Lord blessed us with his only son, everyone we were able to share it with and sweet Daley Rae!!!!

Talk to you all soon!
